Night at the Museum

A Night at the Museum was a claymation film project undertaken by students at Durham Alternative Secondary School.
The BIG question guiding the project was "Will working with a musician to create a claymation film about classical mythology help at-risk students become more engaged in the learning process, attend more regularly, and have a better comprehension of and appreciation for the topic?"
This project required the class to research and extract information about Greek, Egyptian and Indian cultures in order to write a movie script. Within the script each student created their own, unique to them, character. Teachers Diane Baker and Bonnie Peebles and artist Jim Parker collaboratively designed this project to require the students to take the lead by making their own decisions and choices as to the format of movie.
